Membership Committee

The Member Connection Committee’s (McC) mission is to attract, recruit, welcome, integrate and retain members. McC's goal is to promote a congregational environment that is sensitive and responsive to the needs of established members, new members and prospective members. It works to create an atmosphere that will inspire and encourage congregants to find a lifelong place within Congregation Beth Tikvah where they can nurture their Jewish identity.

McC has targeted (focused) programming and events toward identified groups in order to make stronger connections. If you have an interest in participating in any of these groups – or want more information – please contact the Membership Chair, Connie Mayerson at cmayerso@columbus.rr.com or the designated group coordinator.

Shabbat Squad. This group meets and greets our visitors and guests after Shabbat services during the oneg and is armed with information and materials to share.

Contact: Anne Russell, Anne.Russell@fcbdd.org.

• New Member Greeters. This team of greeters contacts new members via phone and/or email to share information about Beth Tikvah activities, events and services. This connection also allows two-way conversations about what Beth Tikvah has to offer our members and fosters a comfortable environment to ask/answer questions.

• Contact: Debbie, debbierr@columbus.rr.com

• New and Prospective Members’ Ice Cream Social. This mixer is especially hosted to provide an opportunity for our newest members and those seeking information about Beth Tikvah to meet each other, leadership and staff.

• Member Connection Meetings, a casual gathering inviting newer members join established members at various events.
