Each year, our 10th Grade Confirmation class embarks on a powerful and inspiring journey to Washington, D.C. for the L’Taken Social Justice Seminar, organized by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC). This signature experience offers our teens the unique opportunity to explore Jewish values, connect with peers from across the country, and advocate for social justice on Capitol Hill.
What to Expect:
-Participate in engaging workshops on today’s most pressing social justice issues
-Craft and present your own speech to your elected officials on Capitol Hill
-Tour iconic sites around Washington, D.C.
-Experience a meaningful Shabbat with hundreds of Reform Jewish teens
Students select the social justice issues that matter most to them—whether it’s climate action, mental health, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ equality, gun violence prevention, or beyond—and become advocates in their own voices.
This trip is the heart of our Confirmation experience and a milestone moment in your Jewish journey.
Transportation, lodging, and programming are all coordinated by Congregation Beth Tikvah in partnership with the RAC.
